CBD Oil for Pain: How to Treat Pain Holistically

By: Ariana Palmieri

Cannabidiol (CBD) oil can help treat chronic pain, inflammation and overall discomfort. It's completely safe to use (no "high" effect) and legal, but how do you use it to accurately treat different types of pain? Here's how we recommend treating pain holistically using CBD oil.

Types of pain CBD Oil can help with

  • Arthritis
  • Chronic pain
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Cancer

CBD oil is capable of helping patients with any of these symptoms. Let's take a closer look at how CBD oil can help each condition.

If you have arthritis, CBD oil might be just what you need. A study in the European Journal of Pain used an animal model to see if CBD could help people manage their arthritis pain. A topical gel containing CBD was applied to rats with arthritis for 4 days. Amazingly, their research noted a significant drop in inflammation and signs of pain (without any bad side effects).

To get the same relief these rats experienced, we recommend using our CBD pain balm. This balm is formulated with 400 mg of full spectrum CBD and combined with locally harvested honey from New York and New Jersey. It will help drastically reduce aches and pains so it's perfect for arthritis sufferers: Just slather some on in the problem areas and you'll be amazed by the results. Do this at least once or twice a day over the course of several weeks for the best results.

Chronic pain

There is substantial evidence to show that CBD is an effective treatment for chronic pain in adults. Researchers compiled the results of multiple reviews covering dozens of studies and trials on CBD in regards to treating chronic pain. A separate study in the Journal of Experimental Medicine support these results and show CBD reduced pain and inflammation in chronic pain sufferers. There's also no need to gradually increase dosage because researchers found subjects were not likely to build up a tolerance to the effects of CBD.

You can either try taking CBD oil orally or topically, depending on what you prefer. We recommend using our CBD pain balm topically or our 1000mg CBD full spectrum oil internally. For best results, slather on the CBD pain balm on any problem area, or put a few drops of our CBD oil into your next drink.

Multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that affects the entire body through the brain and nerves. One of the most common symptoms of MS is muscle spams, which can cause constant pain in many people. However, according to one report, CBD oil could reduce the levels of spasticity in a person.

We recommend trying our 1000mg CBD full spectrum oil internally for the best results. Make sure to take 2.5 - 120 milligrams by mouth daily for 2-15 weeks. Just put some under your tongue, wait 30 seconds, then swallow.

CBD oil can also help those who have cancer. Most human studies have involved research into the role of CBD oil in managing pain related to cancer and cancer treatment. Believe it or not, The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has said CBD is a possible option for relieving symptoms caused by chemotherapy. More research is still needed, but one study from the NCI tested CBD oil extracts sprayed into the mouth. The CBD oil was used with opioids and the study revealed CBD helped create better pain management in patients.

Another way CBD oil helps cancer patients is by increasing their appetite. To increase appetite in cancer patients, it's recommended to take 1 milligram of CBD oil for six weeks. We recommend trying our 500 mg CBD full spectrum oil. Our oil is made using only 3 ingredients: Full spectrum CBD/Hemp, coconut oil (MCT oil) and sunflower lecithic oil. You can add it to smoothies, drinks or shakes. For the best results, take it under the tongue and let it sit there for 30 seconds before swallowing.
