Cooking with CBD: 4 Dinner Recipes to Try

By: Ariana Palmieri

Dinner is a great time to sit down, relax and talk about the day's challenges and achievements. Here's 4 dinner recipes that you can add our CBD oil to. Cooking with CBD is completely safe and actually has several health benefits. And no, it won't get you high.

CBD Lemon Chicken

Serve this delicious meal alongside your favorite vegetables: Broccoli, string beans and carrots are good choices.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 lemons juiced (½ cup)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 10 to 20 drops of Beezy Beez CBD oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a big glassware container with a sealable lid. Pour in lemon juice, olive oil, lemon pepper, CBD oil, basil, oregano and salt. When the lid is snapped shut, shake it up a bit so all the chicken tenders are covered evenly. Then, let it marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes to 8 hours.
  2. Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat and remove the chicken from the marinade. Place it directly on the hot skillet. You can save any leftover marinade for another time if you so desire.
  3. Cook the chicken 6 to 7 minutes per side, making sure to flip it halfway through. Continue to cook it until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, you can serve it and feel free to garnish with some lemon slices and a sprinkle of parsley. Totally up to you. Enjoy!

CBD Pasta

Make some delicious CBD infused pasta with this recipe. You can cook this with meatballs and pork if you like. Also, feel free to swap out the canned tomato sauce for a homemade tomato sauce recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 10 to 20 drops of Beezy Beez CBD oil
  • 1 pack of dry spaghetti (uncooked)
  • 2 cans of tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder
  • 1 to 2 fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Cook the spaghetti as directed on the package.
  2. Add tomato sauce, oil, onion, basil, CBD oil and garlic powder to a pot. Let it cook on low from 30 minutes to an hour for the best taste.
  3. Drain spaghetti and put it in a dish, topping it with the sauce.

CBD Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon

This delicious recipe utilizes both our local raw honey and our CBD oil. What could be better? Prepare this dish and serve it alongside any vegetables of your choice.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 6 oz. Salmon fillets
  • 1/3 cup of Beezy Beez raw honey
  • 10 to 20 drops of Beezy Beez CBD oil
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 lemon (sliced into rounds)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, CBD oil, lemon juice and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. In a large skillet over medium high heat, heat two tablespoons of oil. When the oil is hot (not smoking), add salmon skin side up and season with salt and pepper. Cook salmon until it's deeply golden, which should take about 6 minutes, then flip over and add the remaining tablespoon of oil.
  3. Add garlic to the skillet and cook about 1 minute. Now it's time to add the honey mixture and sliced lemons and cook until the sauce is reduced by about 1/3. Baste the salmon with the sauce, then garnish the salmon with sliced lemon and serve.

CBD Beef Stew

Who could resist this delicious CBD infused beef stew? Not many.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup of all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 pound of beef stewing meat (trimmed and cut into inch cubes)
  • 5 teaspoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 10 to 20 drops of Beezy Beez CBD oil
  • 1 cup of red wine
  • 3 ½ cups of beef broth (home or low sodium canned)
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 large baking potatoes (peeled and cut into ¾ inch cubes)
  • 4 medium carrots (peeled and cut into ¼ inch rounds)
  • 1 medium onion (peeled and chopped)
  • 2 bay leaves

Directions:

  1. Add the flour and pepper in a bowl, then add the beef and toss to coat it thoroughly. In a large pot, heat 3 tablespoons of the oil. Add the beef a few pieces at a time but don't bombard the pot. Cook and turn the pieces until the beef is browned on all sides, which should take about 5 minutes per batch. Add more oil if need be between batches.
  2. Remove the beef from the pot and add the vinegar, CBD oil and wine. Cook over medium high heat for a minute or two. Add the beef, beef broth and bay leaves, then bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce it to a simmer and cover it, letting it cook until the beef is tender (about 1 ½ hours). Add the onions and carrots and simmer them too, covered, for 10 minutes. Then add the potatoes and simmer until all the vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes more. If the stew is dry, add more broth or water, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy!
